A Better Kids Hooded Towel for Beach and Bath

Hi, I’m Scott — designer and founder of Dolphin & Dog. I create my hooded towels in small, limited-edition batches and ship them from Port Macquarie, NSW.

I designed these because I wanted something genuinely better than the ordinary kids hooded towels on the market. Something that looks beautiful, feels incredible and is made to last.

My Soul Surfer Kids Hooded Towel combines two fabrics in one reversible design — quick-drying microfibre for fast absorption and soft cotton for warmth and comfort.

Woven, Not Printed

I spared nothing when it came to the materials and construction of this range.

My exclusive Soul Surfer pattern isn't printed onto the fabric. It's woven on a specialised loom using individual coloured threads, creating a beautiful, textured finish that's part of the fabric itself.

Inspired by the colours and carefree spirit of the 60s and 70s, the Soul Surfer range celebrates the ocean, adventure and those simple moments spent outdoors.

My perfectionism doesn't always make good business sense, but I'd rather create something exceptional than compromise on quality.

The result is a premium, limited-edition hooded towel designed for years of beach days, swimming lessons and bath time adventures.

Kids Hooded Towels FAQs

What ages does this hooded towel fit?

It comes in two sizes: 1-3, 3–6 years and 6–10/11 years. Once kids grow out of the largest size, they usually move into the Small Adult hooded towel, which fits most teens comfortably.

Is it good for the beach and swimming lessons?

Definitely. The reversible design works as a fast-drying kids beach towel, a warm changing robe, and a cosy layer after the pool or swimming lessons.

Is it gentle on sensitive skin?

Yes — the soft cotton side is extremely comfortable and suitable for kids with sensitive skin.

Can my child use it as a changing robe?

Yes — the relaxed fit and generous hood make it ideal for keeping kids covered while they change out of swimmers at the beach or pool.

Does the hooded towel dry quickly?

Very quickly. The microfibre side absorbs water fast, helping prevent that cold, damp feeling after swimming or bath time.

Is it machine washable and dryable?

Yes — and you can also tumble dry it. In fact, tumble drying brings it back to full fluffiness.
