I developed this robe with my local Dachshund community in Port Macquarie because I knew a standard dog-robe pattern wasn’t good enough for their unique proportions.
I spent months measuring, adjusting and refining the body length, chest shape, snood and belly wrap until the fit worked properly on real Dachshunds.
I also designed the textile pattern myself, drawing inspiration from the colour, optimism and adventure of the 60s and 70s.
The result is a practical piece of drying gear with a strong identity of its own — designed in Australia specifically for dogs built a little closer to the ground.
